Indy Hit’s Zagut’s 26 2016 Hottest Food Cities At #16

No. 15: Indianapolis, IN

Indy’s food scene is giving Chicago and Louisville are run for the money.

Indy’s Milktooth, and Bluebeard’s sharable plates, were already highlighted in Bon Appetit and  ZAGAT  is praising Indy sharing that the city has entered a new gastronomic stratosphere. The article touches on Fountain Square’s Pioneer (also part of Bon Appetit’s livery) where German meets Northern Italian meets Austrian cuisine along with Marrow and it’s hearty mains like steak frites and cornmeal-fried catfish.

Plus Indys only four-diamond restaurant, Vida  is mentioned along with Meridian Kessler’s, Open Society Public House which showcases South American flavors and is on my radar to check out. Celebrity chef side, James Beard award–winning Michael Symon opened an Indy outpost of B Spot Burgers last year while Utah native chef Tyson Peterson (once a Jean-Georges sous-chef) now helms Le Méridien’s Spoke and Steele plucking its food from nearby farms
